Volunteers

painted hands smilesWe believe community support and engagement is essential to students’ academic success and personal growth. We encourage parents/ guardians and other community members to become volunteers with our schools.

There are two categories of volunteers as defined by the District: Event Volunteers and Designated Volunteers.

An Event Volunteer is anyone who volunteers to help out, but not on a regular basis. Some examples are:

  • Field day helper
  • Observation of teachers
  • Room parent/classroom helper less than a couple of times per year
  • School dances
  • Field trips
  • School party

A Designated Volunteer is anyone who volunteers on a regular basis. Some examples are:

  • Assistant coaches
  • Classroom helper
  • Any individual who volunteers on a regular basis and is in the building when school is in session
