Upgrading your PC to SP3 for Power

It may be helpful to download this guide and
print it out while doing the

STEP 1 - Get connected to the Internet and then Start up
Internet Explorer
STEP 2 - Click on TOOLS under Internet Explorer and Click
on WINDOWS UPDATE
Clicking on Windows update will take you to the Microsoft Update
website.
Step 3 - Click on the EXPRESS button to have your
system scanned to see what changes can be made. The page will look
like this:
NOTE: You may need the latest version of Windows Update before
you can actually download the latest updates.
If so continue with Step 4 otherwise skip to Step 6
STEP 4 - You may need the latest version of Windows Update

Microsoft will tell you it has completed
checking your system and will ask that you Download and Install the
upgrades. Click the Button "Download and Install
Now" to begin this process.
STEP 5 - The WAIT, It may take several moments to download
and install these updates, so be patient. Once the
updates are complete a window will pop up and say, "Installation
Complete" CLICK CLOSE to move to the next step.
STEP 6 - Now that your update version is upgraded click
Continue to move to the next step.
STEP 7 - After Microsoft checks your computer you will see
an option to "Review and Install Updates" Click on the Install
Updates to upgrade your computer to SP3.
STEP 8 - Click the "I ACCEPT" Button on the bottom
to begin the process.
STEP 9 - Next you will see the updates being Downloaded and
Installed, this will take some time so be patient!
STEP 10 - Once the updates have been downloaded you will need to
install them. You will now see a box (as shown below) CLICK
NEXT to start the Install Process.
STEP 11 - Next your computer will install the updates and you
will see the box below, these
updates will take a few moments so be patient.
STEP 12 - Once the upgrade is complete you will need to
restart your computer. Once your
computer restarts you will have successfully upgraded your computer
to Service Pack 3 (SP3)
