Welcome to Raymond High School
I am
pleased to present the Program of Studies
and course registration process to you for the
2008-2009 school year. The program of
studies is provided to help students select
both required and elective courses for the
new school year. Students with guidance
from adults at home and in school should
develop a plan for high school based on their
interests, abilities, and goals.
It is
imperative that students give the course
selection process careful consideration. The
course registration process will give us
information we need to determine the number and
variety of classes to offer for the
2008-2009 school year. The guidance
counselors and
teachers at Raymond High School are eager to
assist you and provide information that may
help you in the decision making process.
Our goal is to create a plan for each student
as they move through Raymond High School.
Please
keep in mind the following points as you
make your choices for next year:
-
Graduation Credit Requirements
-
Read the
course description thoroughly
-
Explore
electives offered at the high school to help
guide career decisions
-
Keep an
open mind about career possibilities,
research shows that students in high
school now will have seven different jobs in
their lifetime
-
Use the
four year planner to map out your
high school career
-
Use the
adults in your life at school and at home to
help answer questions as we have
all been in your shoes at one time or
another
Good luck
in the process and please do not hesitate to
contact me if I can do anything to help
you in your selection of classes for
2008-2009 school year.
