UNAUTHORIZED COMMUNICATIONS DEVICES

 

Any electronic devices that are considered a nuisance or a distraction (including but not limited to cell phones, cassette players, DVD players, CD players, hand held electronic games, laser pointers, and paging devices) are not to be used in school by students. Violations of this will result in school disciplinary action. Any devices that are considered a nuisance or a distraction will be confiscated during the school day.

Electronic devices will not be “on” or visible at Raymond High School during the school day.    If phone calls need to be made to parents, please see an administrator in the office.  

 

First offense: Electronic device is confiscated.  Offense is written up as an electronic device violation. Student must pick up electronic device at the end of the school day.

 

Second offense: Electronic device is confiscated.  Offense is written up as an electronic device violation.  Parent and student must pick up the electronic device after school.  Parent and student signatures are required.

 

Third offense: Electronic device is confiscated.  Offense is written up as an electronic device violation but will be treated for disciplinary purposes as an overt / defiance / insubordination violation.  Administrative suspension will be assigned.  A parent conference is required to resolve the issue.  The electronic device is returned after the completion of the parent conference.  Parent and student signatures are required.
