SEPTEMBER
12, 2007
Dear Raymond High
School Families,
Welcome back to school!
The first
several days at RHS have been exciting and
productive for all the students and adults.
We welcome a number of new teachers, aides,
and an administrator to our staff this year
including; Ms. Spencer – math, Mr. Hoffman –
French, Mrs. Buell – science, Mrs. Coomey –
science, Mr. Yelgin – guidance, Mrs. Buckley
– assistant administrator, Mrs. Joe –
English, Mrs. Lampron – English/special
education, Mrs. McCarron – nurse,
On the
first day of school our freshmen were
welcomed and participated in an orientation
for two hours prior to the upper classmen
arriving. The administration met with each
class on the first day and reviewed the new
emergency procedures, the academic
expectations, and the behavioral
expectations at the high school.
All
students received a parent-student handbook
and emergency contact forms on the first day
and those forms are due back in to the
students RAP advisor. If your family did
not receive a handbook please contact the
main office as this is an important
reference guide for the school year. The
school calendar is printed in the student
handbook.
As Parents
or Guardians raising these young people you
are vital members of the Raymond High School
Community. We encourage you to get involved
in any way you are able. Our first Parent
Support Organization (PSO) meeting is
September 17, 2007 from 6:00-7:00 PM in the
high school conference room. Our fall open
house will be October 4, 2007 from 5:30-7:30
PM. I look forward to seeing you all.
Sincerely,
Kirk Beitler
Principal

Important Reminders
It is very important
that your child is on time for the start of
the school day which begins at 7:30 AM.
When students are late they get off to a bad
start and on the fourth tardy they will
receive a detention.
If your student is
absent, please call the school in the
morning to let the office know why your
child will not be in school. If you do not
call the office you should expect a phone
call from the main office. When your child
returns from an absence they must bring a
note to the main office to have the absence
excused. Attendance is one of the most
important factors in school success.
All prescription medication must be brought
to the school nurse, Mrs. McCarron, with
original instructions. Please call Mrs.
McCarron if you have any questions.
