Recently the IT department deployed a new service at Raymond High
School. This new service allows us
to repair a computer at RHS from
anywhere in the district. Moving
from classroom to classroom, building to
building takes a great deal of time,
time that could be spent fixing computer
problems. The IT department has
successfully deployed remote control
software at RHS and has begun to repair
a number of problems from our
centralized IT office at IHGMS.
Repair times have been dramatically cut
back allowing us to more quickly address
computer repair requests. Over the
coming months we will be working to
deploy this solution to every computer
within SAU 33.
One huge advantage of remote software is that IT
technicians can work from a centralized
area. Often computer problems
require different levels of expertise,
since remote repairs allow us to work
together from a single office, we can
bring more experience to bear, more
quickly, on a problem using remote
software.
This is a HUGE step forward for the IT department and
the district. Check back for new
updates on our status with this exciting
project!
